Meet our innovative team
Jan Nedělník is a deputy director and researcher of the Agriculture Research, Ltd. He managed various research projects and he is actively involved in scientific community as a vice-chairman of Czech Agriculture Academy, deputy chairman of Association of Research Organisation of, member of editorial boards scientific journals.
Marie Kubankova is a project manager of CZTEE platform, she prepares and coordinates various projects of technological transfer, R&D marketing and evaluation. She is actively involved in the research in the area of R&D management and sustainability reporting. She is the right person to contact if you want to cooperate email@example.com.
František Drozen is Associate Professor at the University of Economics, Prague, he is a researcher focused on culture evaluation, social value and social performance of SME and NGOs. He is a Member of Scientific Council of the Institute of Integration of ČR into European and World Economies and Member of Advisory Team of the Minister of Justice.
Jaroslava Hyršlová is an associated professor at the University of Pardubice. She has vast experiences with creation and implementation of methodical instruction and international standards in area of environmental management accounting, sustainability accounting and reporting and its application at the microeconomic level.
She is focused on research and development in the are of thermochemical conversion technologies for alternative fuels and waste usage. She is a leader of a young researches, Ph.D. students and she is also providing lectures at Department of Power Engineering.
Ivana Poláková has vast experience with Interreg projects. She has been involved in project preparation and management in past fifteen years and successfully managed projects of Phare programme, Progress, Interreg IV. C, Central Europe. She coordinates international project preparation and networking of czTEE platform currently for DANUBE Transnational Programme.

The university centre Energy Units for Utilization of non Traditional Energy Sources (ENET) was supported by the EU grants of 2.1 Regional R&D Centres Programme Scheme in 2006 as a research institute by the Technical university Ostrava... ENET belongs to the excellent research infrastructure in the Czech Republic. The main objectives of the research agenda are:
The research area includes methods of measuring the environmental impact of the new R&D output. ENET cooperates with Vítkovice Holding, a.s., ArcelorMittal, a.s., FITE, a.s., Arrowline, a.s., CEZ, a.s. and various clusters – such as Moravian – Silesian Energy Cluster.
With the huge network of long established partnership, excellent R&D infrastructure and leading experts ENET belongs to the top R&D institute in the Czech Republic. The complex and interdisciplinary approach of R&D activities that includes technological solution of energy transport, procession, accumulation, economical, environmental and social assessment driven by practical needs creates an added value of ENET.
Zemědělský výzkum, spol. s r.o. Troubsko / Agriculture Research, Ltd. is a leading private research institute focusing on basic and applied research and development and is actively involved in numerous research projects in landscape management, resulting in new, desirable and environmentally acceptable management systems.
With facilities in the immediate vicinity of the Moravian capital and vast experience in the research and development, as well as with the management of large (inter)national research projects generates ZVT‘s capital, which is necessary for proper management and realisation of the international projects.
Agriculture Research, Ltd. was founded in 2003 and immediately embarked upon the research project “Genetic breeding and technological aspects of sustainable fodder crops production”. It is currently carrying out a number of publicly co-financed international research projects.
ZVT can provide a great variety of expert services connected with research and development. These are mainly in the area of agriculture and bioenergy, advisory and consultancy, and the application of new technologies. ART is the holder of the rights to more than 25 varieties, which are marketed through either through the direct sales of seeds or through assigning licenses to growers.
AVO is the only organization in Czech Republic representing applied research. AVO was founded in 1993 and it has over 80 active members – organizations that presents above 8 thousands researchers.
A key role of AVO is to support transfer of R&D results from research institions to the business sector, particularly SME, provide services which support innovation in busses and facilitate access to financing of innovation and applied research.
As AVO represents the Czech research capacities and currently involves about 80 institutions and 8000 experts involved in R&D - AVO gathers experts, experience, ideas. We are involved in projects focused on financial support of pree-seed activities and commercialisation of research and development results.. SKILLS+ project addresses the digital divide in using modern ICT technologies in SME between rural areas and urban agglomerations and the public policies in place aiming to reduce the competitive disadvantage of the first. These policies, mainly mainstream ERDF programmes, target SME and provide incentives to change their daily business routines, to introduce ecommerce and social media in their customer relations, or to incorporate the necessary skills in their personnel structures. This overall project objectives is underpinned by two sub objectives, notably the approval of project resulting recommendations to improve 11 public policies by adopting and implementing territorial action plans, and an increase of capacities of about 150 individuals participating in SKILLS+ activities (project staff and external stakeholders).

On the 25th May 2016 a list of aplications IVF Standard Grant in the March 15, 2016 closing was approved by the Council of Ambassadors for support and among others also Summer School Energy application.
The main aim of Summer School Energy project is to enhance the cooperation of Visegrad Universities in the area of education and R&D to support engagement in the international programmes such as Horizon 2020, Interreg Europe or Danube. The project is focused on young researchers for whom will be organized summer school, trainings and getting together activities that will support submissions of new EU project focused on low carbon economy or smart energy. The Lead partner is VSB – Technical university Ostrava.
The EUCLEC Project, growing forage and grain legumes to increase the EU and China’s protein self-sufficiency has now successfully received financial backing.
The Project Consortium has reached the stage of Grant Agreement preparation. Currently, there is only one Czech partner involved - Agriculture Research, Ltd. This is a great success, as the participation of the Czech organization is presently at a very low level.
Only 24% of the projects were supported in the 2nd call of Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE. The Managing Authority received a total of 210 applications out of the 296 institutions from the Czech Republic that participated. VSB – The Technical University of Ostrava, is among the 48 Czech institutions participating in the approved projects.
VSB – The Technical University of Ostrava is a project partner in the RURES Project – to Promote the Sustainable Use of Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency in Rural Regions. The main objective of RURES is the exploitation of the potential from energy being produced from renewable resources, and increased energy efficiency in rural regions. There are four countries involved in the project consortium – Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Germany and the Czech Republic. The Lead partner is Aufbauwerk Region Leipzig GmbH.
